Partner_logoThis week Enfocus named ColourProcess a member of the Switch Certified Experts Program in Australia. In fact, for the last four years, ColourProcess has been the primary contact for Enfocus Switch support in Australia, and we are also considered market leaders in the installation and integration of this exciting and innovative workflow technology.

Now with Switch-11 base technology and modular options, it is more important than ever for customers to partner with a Certified Switch Expert.

Enfocus has established this expert program because whilst Switch is relatively simple to implement for smaller automation projects, a Certified Switch Expert partner will guide you through correct selection of the many optional modules for more extensive automation projects.

PrintEx11 is only two days away, and as ColourProcess will be co-presenting with Caldera Graphics, we thought this an opportune moment to let you know about another happy Caldera customer we’ve worked with.

MMT (Metro Media Technologies), based in Brisbane, are a visual communications company specializing in comprehensive solutions for display advertising, including project management, imaging and fulfillment. With the help of ColourProcess, they recently installed Caldera’s GrandRIP+ with Adobe PDF Print Engine. Here’s what they had to say about the experience:

“The implementation of Caldera’s GrandRIP+ with the Adobe PDF Print Engine under the direction of ColourProcess has significantly improved the quality and consistency of output from all our printing devices.

Most significantly, Yves Roussange has been able to streamline and optimize existing workflows while ensuring print output matches the ISOcoated-v2 colourspace for the full range of our large format printers.

Procedures established to monitor print colour and conformance to the ISOcoated-v2 colour space have proved to be reliable and robust. These features have had marked productivity benefits.

The functionality of Caldera continues to surprise and provides ongoing satisfaction. Whenever we have had a requirement to handle files for novel or complex work this application has a ready-made solution.

The advice and support we have received from ColourProcess during the implementation and learning stages has provided confidence to continue and grow our association with ColourProcess. This is largely a reflection of the high level of expertise and practical support provided by Yves Roussange.

MMT looks forward to working with ColourProcess again in the future.”

ColourProcess is thrilled to announce we will launch our revolutionary quality-control program, PSD-Check, at PrintEx11.

PSD-Check is an industry first: a program designed to certify, quality-control and monitor the performance of digital print engines on a daily basis. It is based on the draft of the new ISO 15311-2 Commercial Production Print Standard, which means users will have a head-start on incoming developments in the industry.

Through consistent client monitoring of the print engine, PSD-Check enables digital print to confidently match the quality of offset printing. Over time, this will allow printers to share jobs between offset and digital machines, leading to improved cost efficiency.

PSD-Check is just not a one-off quality assessment, but a continuous quality improvement. With PSD-Check’s consistent online monitoring program, printers can demonstrate the compliance of their print engine to the ISOcoated-V2 colour space on a daily basis. PSD-Check is fully iPad compatible, allowing printers to quickly and simply demonstrate standard compliance to potential clients.

PSD-Check opens up communication between designers and printers and paves the way for consistently improved results from digital printing. If you want to be ahead of the pack, visit ColourProcess on Stand 3216 at PrintEx11.

GSP Print: A Testimonial

GSP-Print logo

GSP Print are specialists in for large-format printing, and also are the only large-format printer to have in-house equipment for every part of a campaign – from screen printing to wide-format digital. ColourProcess recently worked with GSP Print to install and train their staff in the use of Caldera’s GrandRip+. Here’s what they had to say about the experience:

“The upgrade of our grand-format inkjet RIP technology to Caldera GrandRip+ has given us the cutting edge in billboard, point-of-sale, bus and tram wrapping with a huge increase in printing efficiency.

We could see that Yves Roussange’s advice on integrating Caldera GrandRIP+ into our organisation had been the missing ingredient needed to achieve total efficiency for large format printing.  The advanced features of Caldera GrandRip+ with the Adobe PDF Print Engine and the new Easy-Media colour management profiling software were the deciding factor in integrating Caldera GrandRip+ into our existing workflow.

ColourProcess fully automated our print output and increased our colour definition and accuracy to the ISOcoated-v2 colour space. This is a level of quality never been seen before in the Australian market, specially with backlit media.

Yves’s colour management training was the tipping point in fully understanding how PDFs behave with embedded profiles. The upgrade of our existing SwitchBOX workflow to process PDF files with transparency and the Caldera APPE print engine resolves all our printing issues with Adobe CS-5 PDF and increases the speed of processing files by five.

In short, moving toward Caldera GrandRip+ with APPE has been the final step in a two year program to increase productivity at GSP-Print.

GSP-Print has found ColourProcess to be a reliable and highly professional partner in the future development of our business.”

Blog-ToolBox 5

Just in:  Callas have released  their brand-newpdfToolbox 5.0. We’ve had a little sneak preview of the new features and we think it’s safe to say you’ll be impressed.

pdfToolbox catches problems through in-depth analysis and generates preflight reports useful for both pre-press professionals or less technical users. As well as retaining its previous capabilities, pdfToolbox 5.0 new features also include the ability to fix trim and bleed boxes (individually and in batches) and to compare two versions of the same image in order to detect any changes that have been made. There’s also a feature allowing you to convert files from the Microsoft Office suite, PostScript or ETS files (amongst others) to PDF files, with a simple drag and drop box. Simple things with a very efficient fix-up. We predict pdfToolbox 5.0 will be very popular in the digital print industry.

Even better, ColourProcess will be showcasing the brand new release at PrintEx11, May 4-6. If you want to make sure your business is on the cutting edge, come visit us at Stand 3216.

Just this week, Enfocus named ColourProcess a member of the Switch Certified Experts Program in Australia. In fact, for the last three years, ColourProcess has been the primary contact for Enfocus Switch support in Australia, and we are still considered market leaders in the installation and integration of this exciting and innovative software. That’s why Enfocus have chosen to co-present their first Australian Crossroads Automation Tour with ColourProcess, to be held on May 5 in Sydney and May 10 in Melbourne. Click here to register now.

Enfocus have established this program because whilst Switch is relatively simple to implement for smaller automation products, customers often need help to integrate this automation into larger, more complex workflows. The program allows for better customer support and the sharing of skills by Switch experts.

The timing of this program coincides perfectly with PrintEx11 on May 4-6 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre. To find out how Switch can help you work smarter, not harder, visit ColourProcess on Stand 3216.
